LIS-02 is designed for operational incoming inspection of rolled metal products, determination of steel grades, scrap of non-ferrous and ferrous metals and alloys. The metal analyzer ensures high speed in determining the following chemical elements: C, Be, Mg, Al, Si, Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, Nb, Mo, Sn, Sb, W, Pb and others.
The portable laser spectrometer LIS-02 is included in the State Register of Measuring Instruments under No. 85726-22.
The operating principle of LIS-02 is based on the method of laser-spark emission spectrometry. A short laser pulse converts several micrograms of metal into plasma, the radiation is decomposed into a spectrum and the concentration of chemical elements is determined by the intensity of the spectral lines.

FEATURES OF SPECTROMETER LIS-02
Analysis of carbon: LIS-02 allows you to measure the concentration of carbon in high- and low-alleged steels without the use of argon, right in the air. For a more accurate measurement of the concentration of chemical elements, including carbon in steel, calibration function can be used for samples with a known chemical composition. When using this function, it is possible to distinguish those close in the setting of metal brands, such as 316 and 316L, to solve other similar problems.

Homogeneity of the chemical composition: The measurement point of LIS-02 has a size of the order of 0.05 mm, therefore, for complex alloys at single measurements in different places, the result may differ significantly. For quantitative chemical analysis, LIS-02 provides a serial shooting mode. After each measurement, it is necessary to move the spectrometer relative to the sample so that the next measurement is performed at a new point. At the same time, it is important to control the quality of the surface at the point of measurement and the density of the spectrometer to the sample. For these purposes, LIS-02 has a built-in high-resolution camera, positioning mode and other features detailed in detail in the user manual.
Built-in grade library: Based on the results of the analysis, a steel or alloy brand is displayed on the screen, corresponding to the percentage of chemical elements of this sample. Under the same chemical composition can be suitable several brands. The analyzer in the basic kit contains a tormarker according to GOST, AISI/ASTM, UNS, BS/DIN, JIS, but can be equipped with any other marker at the request of the customer.
